2nd Prize A Layout for a University Residence for Students, Turin (Italy) Layout: Paolo Cavagnero, Mikaela Sucquet, Giovanni Pietroforte, Politecnico of Turin Cladding: TECU® Patina An excitingly structured façade clad in TECU® Patina: a seemingly arbitrary arrangement of copper cassettes and windows of varying sizes. Behind this appearance of disorder is a well thought through and relatively easy-to-realize concept. “A very complete work for a totally new urban environment.” (Excerpt from the Jury’s appraisal) |

2nd Prize B Layout for a House of Cultures, Triest (Italy) Layout: Sascha Rullkötter, RWTH Aachen (Germany) Cladding: TECU® Zinn The building shows six façade perspectives; the outer skin consists of cladding made of TECU® Zinn copper plates. These are turned in front of the openings and fan out in a scales-like design. “The whole design is an optimal reaction to the requirements posed by the environment.” (Excerpt from the Jury’s appraisal) |
