TECU® in exemplary and innovative usage for roof and façade.
With the 2002 TECU® Architecture Award, the KME Germany AG has organized the second international competition in the name of the TECU® brand. Throughout Europe, architects and architecture students were challenged to submit studies or completed structures using TECU® products.

As a manufacturer of premium copper roof and façade systems, we have started the TECU® Architecture Award and several other events to stimulate the use and understanding of our product in modern architecture. For the first time this year, the award ceremony will be held in the recently- opened KME Forum in Osnabrück. There will be an exhibition of selected competition projects to accompany the ceremony. These projects are examples of the high quality of the numerous submissions from many European countries. They also show striking proof of the diverse uses of our materials.
The TECU® brand offers architects unique new design possibilities with copper. In the dialogue with planners and architects, we want to communicate these possibilities for both major and minor building projects. That’s why we’re delighted with the high quality and quantity of submissions for our special residential design prize, being given for the first time this year with the 2002 TECU® Architecture Award.
We would like to congratulate the winners and thank everyone who took part. With your submissions, you not only made the competition exciting, but you overwhelmingly proved the significance of our product. We hope that you will all take part in next year’s TECU® Architecture Award competition and we look forward to some very interesting projects from you and your colleagues.
