New facade designs with copper: now even extensive facade areas can be implemented more effectively, easily, quickly and economically than ever before. TECU® Bond is a new composite material from KME with a bright rolled copper surface. Now nothing stands in the way of high-quality facade cladding designs with perfectly even surfaces and in dimensions ideally suited to the material.
The material
The structure of TECU® Bond sheets is simple and efficient: two 0.5 mm thick copper sheets are applied to both sides of a polyethylene core in an optimised process that is gentle to the materials – guaranteeing extreme durability. The result is an ideal facade material, easy to work with and install. In the factory, both copper surfaces are covered with a protective foil to protect the material against soiling during the construction period. The foil is simply removed after the sheets have been installed.
TECU® Bond is the perfect combination of durability, efficient use of materials and a superior copper surface, providing extreme strength due to the polyethylene carrier material.
Processing
No high investments for processing: all the required work can be performed with the tools and machines normally used in facade construction. The sheets are prepared in the workshop and then cut to size on the building site and installed within a very short time. In this way, TECU® Bond allows low-cost but very elegant solutions – for example on ventilated, bracket-mounted facades, fascia cladding, parapet cladding and interior finishing.
The advantages
Besides economy, ease of working and assembly as well as outstanding surface evenness, TECU® Bond has several other interesting advantages:
- improved noise insulation
- high mechanical resistance against wind, impact, shock and pressure burdens
- variety of form in architectural design
TECU® Bond is available in TECU® Classic - the tried and tested bright rolled copper surface.
