TECU® – Copper designs: 2004 calendar wins gold

The calendar ”TECU® – Copper designs 2004” published by KM Europa Metal AG, Osnabrück was awarded gold by the jury of the Stuttgart Graphische Klub at the 54th International Calendar Show. The calendar, commissioned by KME and realised by Osnabrück advertising agency Tammen, won a gold prize along with three of the other 753 calendars submitted from 13 countries.

As every year, the KME calendar presents twelve outstanding architectural projects that were implemented using TECU® materials. The calendar addresses architects and planners throughout the world, and most copies have already been snapped up. At the annual calendar show, which is organized by the Stuttgart Graphische Klub, Kodak GmbH, the state of Baden-Wurttemberg’s competition bureau and the state Print and Media Association, the KME calendar impressed the jury on the basis of its convincing overall concept. Decisive criteria for the jury’s assessment were creativity, high-quality photography and innovative aspects, including outstanding design, high-quality production and the exemplary use of materials. The TECU® calendar vividly demonstrates the versatile applications of copper as a modern material in several architectural highlights – this is how the jury justified its selection.

KME Marketing is especially pleased to have received this award despite recent adjustments to the marketing budget in line with the current economic situation. ”We were able to present the range of applications for copper in all of its different forms, from copper red and green patinated to copper tinned on both sides on modern architectural designs,” says KME Marketing, represented by Hermann Kersting. ”We demonstrated that creativity and successful implementation can still take the honours – even on a relatively small budget”.

Peter Ehlers, Herbert Mock and Hermann Kersting are thrilled about the high distinction
