Systems: TECU® Seam Cladding

Façade and roof elements from TECU® copper for angle standing seam, double standing seam and batten cap cladding are produced from sheets or strips. In façades vertical or horizontal cladding is usual which lends the façade a visually appealing structure.

Roof cladding is generally carried out using the double standing seam technique. The water carrying layer of the roof covering is outside the seam ends. Up to a minimum roof pitch of 3° (5%) the seam is described as watertight. However, the double standing seam is not waterproof against such things as banked-up water.

The traditional construction in the plumbing trade is the ventilated facade as well as ventilated and non-ventilated roof cladding using angle standing seam, double standing seam and batten cap techniques. In addition to DIN 18351 and DIN 18561 ventilated façade constructions are also based on the professional standards of the trade.
