The cleats for TECU® Profiled Panels are fixed to 40/60 mm roof battens or to wooden or metal purlins. On average, 2 cleats per square meter are required. Roof batten spacing of up to 1 m is allowable, depending on the load the roof must carry.
To use TECU® Profiled Panels, the roof to be clad must have a minimum roof pitch of 3% or 1.8° without cross-joints or roof penetrations.
The steps for installing TECU® Profiled Panels are as follows:
- Fix the cleat (width: 230 mm, material thickness: 1.3 mm) with 6.5 x 38 mm rust-proof steel screws. Clamp the seam for the first panel tightly together by hand.
- Clamp in the first TECU® Profiled Panel.
- Insert and fix the cleats. Mark bore holes every 3-4 panel widths.
- Clamp in the second TECU® Profiled Panel
